A Center for the Community, a Source of Pride

The Filipino Community Center is the largest facility of its kind in the entire United States and outside of the Philippines. Opened on June 11, 2002, it is a long-awaited symbol of the Filipinos' presence and contributions to Hawaii.

The FilCom Center began as a project of the Filipino Chamber of Commerce in 1991. Its two-acre site, once part of the Oahu Sugar Mill has donated by Amfac, one of Hawaii's largest landowners. It was designed pro bono by the architectural firm Wimberly Alison tong & Goo.

The FilCom Center is a gathering place for promoting activities to share and perpetuate the Filipino heritage with those interested in the multi-cultural fabric of Hawaii. It Offers many social and human service programs for all members of the community.
